This place is the best secret in Texas City. Best chicken fried steak or chicken on the planet (on available on certain days). Don't be thrown off from the outside, on the inside the wait staff is always hustling and never an empty glass.

The food was really good. We were there to listen to music so we sat under patio. Bar is right up against some of the tables and the smoking was hard to beat while we were eating. We know to sit away from bar next time. I will go again for sure.

Such a fun "hole in the wall". Coconut shrimp on the shrimp platter was amazing. We added extra fish to the platter to split and were not disappointed. Will definitely return.

OMGeeeee! The food here is to die for, and the service is what you expect at a home based restaurant that makes you feel at home. I had the meat loaf, thinking that it was going to be tomato sauce. Lo and behold, it wasn't! Which is what I loved the most. It came with a side of mashed potatoes and vegetables. They were all so good. My sister had the catfish and fries, I can't even begin to tell how flavorful it all was. And of course, we drank sweet tea, who can resist. The ambiance is a quaint little place out in the middle of a neighborhood with fishing boats out back. Noisy from all of the people that enjoy their home cooked meals and a little chat before heading back to work. Highly recommend

This is a difficult place to review. Understand that it is a local dive which looks on the rough side, so 5 stars here doesn't mean it counts as fine dining, but the food is quite good and service is friendly. The outdoor seating is on a channel where you can watch the shrimp boats and birds and fish, and the odd local can dock their boat and stroll into the restaurant. It's a place where it is interesting to walk around and see what is going on while chatting with your friends and meeting new people. Unfortunately I hear that they will have live music and dancing there by the water, which isn't what we are looking for. Others may enjoy that sort of thing.

I really like this spot. It is sway from everyone by the water. They have a boat ramp and always have a nice group of friendly people there. They food is good and the drinks are cold.

Best fish and chips I've tried locally. The service was excellent and the owner ame over to introduce herself after we finished our meal. The atmosphere was inviting and the place (even restrooms) clean. We will be going back! The service was nice, polite and very fast. Food was great.. a great hole in the wall fishermen hang out. My beautiful mother brought my sister and me here for lunch over Spring Break. She and my brother raved about this place. We tried to visit on a Sunday but it was packed. We tried again on Tuesday (they are closed on Monday), scored a table, and ordered with no wait.
